- Synopsis
- Katsuragi, an editor, begins an interview with Nami, a popular actress. In her private life, Nami is mourning over her collapsed marriage with Yosuke, also an actor who is having an affair with a starlet. The loveless marriage has Nami’s soul and body hungry for passion.
  Left Alone is the latest film that Nami stars in. Yosuke costars as the husband of her heroine. Yosuke’s lover also has a part in the film. The scandalous cast is the focus of media frenzy, and the manager Okano is busy working out a strategy to take full advantage of the attention.
  
  Nami responds to Katsuragi’s questions about the movie: “Left Alone tells the sad story of Kyoko, and actress who is left heartbroken and desperate by her loveless marriage. She is verbally abused by her philandering husband, also an actor. Unable to take this any longer, Kyoko runs away from home and jumps into a train. In the carriage, she applies vulgar make-up and goes to sell her body to the men wandering the neon streets…” Reality and fiction are intertwined in Nami’s explanation of the movie plot.
