    • Synopsis
    • Sol, a university student suffocated by her parents’ expectations, spends her days navigating the sterile corridors of law school, a career she never wanted. At home, the silence between her parents has become deafening, and her own voice is often ignored. Across town, Emi, a spirited young woman, spends her time in a dusty bookstore, her dreams dulled by the constant weight of caring for her unstable, self-destructive mother. Both women are lost, yearning for something they can’t name but desperately need.

When their paths cross in the bookstore, their connection is immediate, electric, and laden with unspoken longing. What begins as playful banter and chance meetings evolves into late-night conversations, stolen glances, and shared secrets. Sol, who has always followed the rules, is drawn to Emi’s defiance and unpredictability. Emi, who hides her vulnerability behind a facade of confidence, finds solace in Sol’s quiet strength.

As their relationship deepens, so do the fractures in their lives. Sol’s struggle to break free from her family’s expectations leads her into self-destructive choices, including an ill-fated attempt to escape her emotions through a fleeting encounter with Nico, a boy from her past. Meanwhile, Emi, consumed by envy of Sol’s potential freedom, is forced to confront the ways her own fear has kept her tied to a stagnant existence.

A fleeting moment of intimacy between them becomes the catalyst for their unraveling. Sol retreats, overwhelmed by guilt and uncertainty, while Emi spirals further into frustration and despair. In a final act of defiance, Emi decides to leave everything behind. As she boards a bus out of town, Sol arrives too late to stop her, left to grapple with the loss and the truth of what she’s let slip away.

Through striking imagery and intimate performances, this is a story of love and longing, of finding yourself in another person and learning to let go. A tender exploration of youth, vulnerability, and the paths we take to escape—and find—ourselves.
