    • Synopsis
    • Deniz is a high school girl growing up in a small town on the west coast of Turkey. She and her close friends, Esra and Gül dream of leaving this town one day to go to university in a big city. All that stands in their way is the feared university entrance exam, which they will have to take in two years. The school year begins; Deniz’s father starts a new company as he does in every two years; her mother meanwhile organizes a local fundraiser for Deniz’s sister’s school. One day, during a blackout an accident happens. The precious picture that Deniz needs to deliver safely for the fundraiser catches fire. In the aftermath of this mishap, she slowly drifts away from her friends and finds herself infatuated with two men, namely her school counselor and a fellow student. As if the upheavals and troubles of the teenage years were not enough, a major gas outage across Turkey brings life to a standstill. All of a sudden, Deniz is not alone in navigating the waves of crises of the outside world.
