- Synopsis
- It’s the summer of 1975. In a town fraught with racial tensions, teenager Lamont Green has a big crush on his co-worker Keisha Jackson. They work at The Lagoon Water Amusement Park. Keisha has dreams of escaping her life in a rural town and becoming a doctor in the city. Lamont just wants to be a dancer on the hit TV show Groove Bus.
  
  One fateful night a gang of racist thugs brutally attack Lamont. They throw his lifeless body into a toxic waste filled lagoon and leave him for dead. A strange transformation takes place under that water. And a little bit later that night, the racist thug leader is viciously slaughtered by an amphibious monster.
  
  Lamont awakens the next morning with only minor recollections of the night before. He notices his skin steams hot when it gets wet…
  
  And he turns into a Green Gilled, Amphibious Ass Kicking, Jive Talking Creature!
  
  A Creature who hunts down the racist thugs who tried to kill him!
  
  Soon strange disappearances and sighting of a creature circulate around the theme part. Lamont tries to conceal his new identity from Keisha for fear of losing her, until she is kidnapped and tortured by the racist Ku Klux Klan thugs.
  
  Will the Creature save her and prevail of the racists, or will he be exploited as a sideshow attraction by the greedy owner of The Lagoon Water Amusement Park?
  
  The Black Creature from the Lagoon deals with racism by hitting it head on, making you think and laugh about it.
