- Synopsis
- Astrid, a socially withdrawn, 19-year-old film student, moves into a decaying apartment block in the Neukölln district of Berlin, where her eye is drawn towards the person living opposite—a glamorous woman dressing like Marilyn Monroe.
  
  Utilizing her camera as a means of both exploration and justification for her voyeuristic tendencies, Astrid blurs the lines between the observer and the observed. As she navigates her studies, she becomes increasingly obsessed with capturing and uncovering the truth about Marilyn.
  
  Astrid’s life becomes increasingly complicated when news breaks that her deranged mother, Maddy, has escaped a psychiatric facility, forcing Astrid to
  confront her tumultuous past and the looming fear of her mother re-entering her life. An ex-cop, Fleischmann, haunted by his own demons, becomes determined to stop Maddy before she kills again.
  
  Simultaneously, Marilyn ignites a series of events that highlight the obscurity between identity, art, and reality, encouraging Astrid to delve deeper into dark secrets through her camera.
  
  As tension escalates, the film kicks into high gear when Astrid, driven by the need to reclaim her narrative and silence the haunting whispers of her mother’s
  influence, bravely confronts both her fears and her past, finding herself at a crossroads: to embrace her legacy or break free from its shackles.
  
  In a violent showdown, Astrid, alongside Fleischmann, faces her mother in an electrifying confrontation where truths unravel, loyalties are tested, and the consequences of their intertwined fates come to light.
