- This recent 2008 Tribeca Film Festival favorite is a must see for rock and roll fans of all ages. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain all died at 27. When rock star Elliot Kerrigan discovers that his best friend and band mate just died of an overdose at 27, the implications for his life are clear, or not. This is Elliot’s odyssey.
