    • Synopsis
    • Serge, the broke writer, had always relied on his wife, May, to take care of everything in their lives. But when she became pregnant and was ordered to stay in bed, Serge has to take a job as a night receptionist at a luxury hotel.
      It was there he met Rahman, a writer who had been sentenced to death for his blasphemous book. Convinced Rahman orchestrated it for fame, Serge, in a delirium, plans to write a book about it. His publisher was horrified by the idea and refused to publish it.
      A series of overwhelming and humiliating situations pushed Serge into a form of madness. He came up with the ridiculous idea to personally carry out the fatwa on Rahman and claim the reward.
      He dragged into this harebrained scheme his brother-in-law, Lofti, who had just been released from prison, and his eccentric colleague, Nina.
      As Serge's plan unfolds, his life spirals out of control, leading to a darkly humorous tale of ambition and madness.
