    • Modern-day Jerusalem…
      Menachem Frankel is seventeen.
He is impatient to become an adult, move away from his family, and experience new things. Eli, his father, would like to shape him into a serious and devout young man—but Menachem would rather run off and have fun with his friends and girls his age.
One night, while driving home in their car, Eli suddenly feels sick. Menachem runs for help but, when he returns, his father has inexplicably disappeared.
Days pass, and Eli is still missing. Menachem tries hard to live up to this challenge—but how can he manage when his father’s absence is even harder to bear than his presence…?
Menachem, who thought he could forge his own way without his family, finds footprints in the path before him: those of his father.
