This documentary is a portrait of one of the most leading personalities of the post-colonial Tunisian cultural life. First president of the Tunisian Federation of the cine-clubs, Tahar Cheriaa is also the founder of Journées Cinématographiques de Carthage in 1966, the oldest film festival on the African continent. Through archival footage and interviews with people close to Tahar who helped him create a cinema d'essai on the continent, the film, set for new generation, tell the story of this sensitive intellectual pan-Africanist who has dedicated his life to intercultural dialogue between the north and south of the Sahara
