Summer, a resort town along the Costa Brava. Ana, Daniel, and their son Manuel, who live in Madrid, are there on vacation for the fourth year in a row. Ana’s family lets them use a beautiful country home near the beach for a month. Marta works at the only stationery shop in town. Tomás, a baker, is her boyfriend and Robert, who owns an antique shop, is her cousin. The five of them are soon caught up in a tangle of truths and lies that will change their lives forever. This summer is going to be unlike any other. Ana and Daniel’s happy, predictable marriage is upset when Robert breaks in. He is determined to seduce Ana any way he can and since it seems Marta is in love with Daniel, Robert uses that to his advantage. Robert and Marta scheme together to win over the objects of their desires, not realizing that the emotions they are stirring up will have effects far beyond a simple summer romance.
