    • Synopsis
    • A man in his forties is unemployed and lives with his twelve-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter, in a poor neighborhood of the city. His wife left him with the children. Jobless, he is incapable of satisfying the basic needs for his family.
      By random, he finds a temporary job; holding advertising boards that promote real estate at the foot of prestigious construction sites.
      In the daytime, he drops his children off at the mall. The shopping paradise fulfills his children’s desires and he himself gets lost in the luxurious display houses, fantasying about an alternative life.
      An employee of the mall, Xiao Lu, notices the children and slowly gets involved with the family by nurturing the children while they explore the mall. At the start, the man resists her solicitude. However, being the violent drunk that he is, he gradually projects his image of his wife on this woman. She re-provides him with the same comfort of his previous home.
      He recalls the birthday with his wife, children, and the massage chair. The warm memory of his wife setting up bath water for him, no longer exists. One night, while he is glowing with wine and the children are asleep, he takes Xiao Lu to the abandoned warehouse where the stray dogs gather, and releases his pent up emotions on her…
