    • Synopsis
    • STORM SURFERS is a wild adventure set in the world of big wave surfing, with Aussie tow-surfing legend
Ross Clarke-Jones and two-time world champion Tom Carroll. It began with Cape of Storms in 2006 and
continued with Tai Fu in 2007, Storm Surfers - Dangerous Banks in 2008 and Storm Surfers - New Zealand in 2010.

In 2011, the STORM SURFERS undertook their most ambitious project yet, to shoot a feature film and
television series in 3D. The team completed an incredible eight missions in a single season and captured stunning, world-first 3D footage inside 15 foot barrels at breaks around Australia and in Hawaii.
Best friends, larrikins and former professional surfers Ross and Tom attempt to ride some of the biggest and
most dangerous waves on the planet. At nearly 50 years old, they still have what it takes to tackle waves that surfers half their age would never attempt.
They are joined by expert surf-forecaster Ben Matson and guest surfers including ten-time world surfing
champion Kelly Slater, leading female big wave rider Maya Gabeira and many other renowned big wave
surfers. STORM SURFERS pitches these surfing heroes against an impossible foe - mother nature.
Bringing together accessible, cutting-edge science with real-life drama and the most spectacular surf images
ever captured on film, STORM SURFERS is a classic story of friendship, adventure and courage.
