    • Synopsis
    • In the West Bank, children grow up amidst a harsh and unforgiving reality, with daily life shaped by animosity, hatred and loss. Jena, a ten-year-old-girl, lives with her family in the Jenin Refugee Camp, a densely populated area where civilians and militants live side by side. As Israeli military raids intensify, Jena witnesses destruction daily, hears the airstrikes and gunfire, and lives in constant fear.

Nearby, sixteen-year-old Renana lives in a Jewish settler community in the illegal outpost of Havat Gilad. Profoundly changed by the death of her father, a rabbi, at the hands of the Palestinian Jenin Brigades, she is driven by a fierce conviction of her right to claim and defend the land, a stance that troubles her mother.

As both girls search for their place in a world defined by violence and polarization, State of Rage offers a profound reflection on the impact of growing up in an environment saturated with anger, and the complex effects it has on the human spirit.
