- Synopsis
- In the western coast of India, Salim, a small-time gangster is left heartbroken when Vishnu leaves the village for a job. Years later, he comes back with Dhanvi whom people mistake to be his wife. When Vishnu leaves the village again, but this time for Dubai, Salim struggles to find a way into a heterosexual intimacy with Dhanvi, in the name of revenge for the love he once lost.
  Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous nineties in Bombay, Starfruits is an exploration of the conflict between masculinity and homosexuality in a realm where communal ideals and reality confront to construct and deconstruct the social being.
