    • Synopsis
    • For millennia, olive oil has been a part of human life in the Mediterranean landscape. In this documentary we will explore the Spanish history of olive trees. Spain is the prime exporter of virgin olive oil, but olive products include table olives, olive paste (tapenade), skin care products, olive oil soap and even bio-gas production.

      The Mediterranean region provides optimal conditions for the olive oil is that priceless element of nutrition that we Spanish have been savoring and honoring for centuries and their importance is key for future generations to enjoy this precious gift of the earth,
      today more than ever.

      The producers from around Spain will show us how to find solutions for improved oil olive farming practices, environmental requirements, together with methods of adding value to the crop. We will know methods of production, the most important olive oil quality parameters, varieties of olive oil, use of resources and coexistence in traditional customs, cultivation problems and perspectives, and finally, how to achieve solutions for the sustainability of olive trees farming and the continuity of future generations as well as showing the socio-economic situation of people living in in this wonderful landscape that is Spanish olive grove.
