- So Extra – definition – South East Asian slang when one takes extraordinary measures to achieve their goals. Example “Wah, that girl is being So Extra to impress that guy…” or “Omg, did you see her wedding on Instagram? She’s so extra!” Often used to make fun or sarcastic remarks.
  
  For Valentina Ho the plan was suppose to be simple; find the perfect husband and partner in life that would fawn all over her every wish, become the youngest Editor-in-Chief of a leading fashion magazine in Asia; have the perfect number of children (1 boy and 1 girl of course in that order); and support her parents for the rest of her life. What could go wrong?
  
  As Valentina, now 27, living and working in Singapore as a rising fashion social media key online influencer and model, she finds her work and love life balance becoming increasingly challenging and in many ways disappointing. Told through Valentina’s tell all expose of the men in her life, each episode we explore a different ‘type’ of men from the nouveau riche billionaires of Asia, six pack gym bro, playboy movie star and the sweet scruffy bohemian artist with each of them only known by the letter of their first name.
  
  So Extra is a series that wants to take its audiences on a journey that explores the real struggles of Asian woman trying to achieve their career goals as much as their love life – that is absurd, upsetting, dramatic and most of all authentic to their experience. But that’s fun, sexy and playful!
