    • Synopsis

    • The inhabitants of Small Town, a little settlement dedicated mainly to milk production, are subjected to frequent power cuts that paralyze all activities and cause widespread discomfort.

To solve the problem, Olivia (5), her cow Celestina and her brother Tomás (10) ask for help from their grandfather Don Trigémino (70), an eccentric inventor who has earned the rejection of the villagers by involving them in a number of frustrated experiments. Together they discover a way to encapsulate the flatulence that cows release into the atmosphere in industrial quantities, to transform them into energy that can be controlled, packaged and used. Thanks to this, Small Town manages to generate energy in a self-sustainable way and solve its electric supply problems.

Ben Detuti (35), a seasoned street vendor, glimpses the possibilities to commercially exploit the invention. The energy packages begin to be sold outside the town limits, this strategy makes demand rapidly increase. The cows are no longer milked and Olivia and Tomás’s father starts developing a quirky flatulence capture and packaging system. The energy packages are so effective that the word spreads quickly, people begin to arrive to small town. Buyers from all over, bringing unprecedented prosperity to the town. This "Progress" transforms many of the town inhabitants, who clouded by money, turn into an exacerbated consumerism. Their excessive ambitions lead them to compete with each other by who sells more flatulence capsules, this tension wakes up a lot of past grudges. Children can no longer play soccer on the streets due to the amount of cars, and adults have more and more appliances but less and less time to leisure.

Demand grows so unexpectedly that in order to meet the needs of production, Ben Detuti pushes the demands on animals and producers to the limit, without measuring any consequences. All cows mustwork day and night to produce as much flatulence as possible, including Celestina, Olivia and Tomas’s friendly cow.
Olivia, Tomás and their friends then decide to confront Ben Detuti to save Celestina, so that they may be able to play on the streets again and unite the villagers once and for all.
