Synopsis
Silent House is the story of three generations of an Iranian family who live in a one-hundred-year-old house in Tehran. Through archival family footage woven with contemporary images, the two filmmakers, Farnaz and Mohammadreza, portray their family’s evolution across 40 years, from the 1979 Islamic Revolution until the present time. They follow each family member entangled in the tides of their country’s complicated history.
