- Synopsis
- Dr. Stein, a 70-year old retiree, returns to his native village of Kumburk where he’s reuniting with his old friends: Mr. Houda, Jan Rokos, Bohdan Lebánek and Ozeáš Joska. These four fellas hold their regular clandestine get-togethers in the local pub storeroom and Dr.Stein – their old friend – is always more than welcome. To his surprise, Dr. Stein finds out three of his friends had no luck dealing with their retirement, lamenting their feeling of redundancy. And here’s how an ingenious idea is born: separating from their families, getting their own place to live to spend some quality time without the ever nagging and ungrateful offspring. A brilliant idea indeed, but where does one find a property to suit the purpose? The local bank turns out to be a quite unfriendly place. The CEO explains to them they’re too old to get a loan, in spite of their savings therein. And this is when a diabolic idea flashes through their minds. They are simply going to rob that vicious greedy bank! A witty, funny plot played out by the “Stein’s Five” will propel you to an unexpected finale.
