- Synopsis
- Hot summer 1943. Lakotice- a small village in the region of Morawy at the edge of the war. Well - managed farms among fields of ripen wheat. But the peace of the village is fake. Farmers are afraid of Sekal- cruel and hard man who denounced his neighbors to Nazi Germany and as the award got their farms.
  Sekal is an illegitimate and rejected son of the richest farmer in the area. Now he is taking the revenge on the village for so many years of humiliation and harm done to him. Afraid for their farms, lives and freedom farmers decide to kill Sekal. But nobody is brave enough to do it.
  Juran Baran, a deserter from another part of Czech Republic arrives to the village. As a stranger he is a perfect person to do the task and farmers know how to force him to do it.
