    • Synopsis
    • Paraná' in the Tupi-Guaraní language means ""relative of the sea"". The Río Paraná is part of one of the largest freshwater reserves and is the second longest river in South America. The artisanal fishers who inhabit their coasts live isolated from society, and maintain the customs of yesteryear as well as the precarious canoes and fishing gear.
It's Trilce, a 'social biologist', who researches artisanal fishing through the story of fishers and fights against the system so that they can have access to their cards to carry out the activity, evidencing the problems they go through every day: deregulation in marketing, short profits, lack of infrastructure as well as access to basic services.
Throughout this trip through the Paraná River Delta, Trilce and the fishers are amalgamating and exchanging the senses of the world, knowledge and experiences, creating a network that will serve them as a tool to fight to improve living conditions of the fishers and their families.
