    • Angelot is a young Haitian man who arrived in Quebec in the nineties at the age of ten. Twenty years later, Angelot, who now calls himself Leslie, has become the leader of a hip-hop group. Leslie falls into a life of petty crime by taking over his brother’s business after his incarceration. The money it brings helps bankroll the production of his first album, which he hopes will be his ticket out of the ghetto. One night after a concert, he gets shot in the head by a rival gang member. Slipping into a long coma, we get to glimpse into his past to better understand what let him to take the wrong road in life. When he awakes from his coma, Leslie realises that the world he lives in is not authentic and based on instant and ephemeral success. Leslie had to die for Angelot to be reborn through love.
