    • Synopsis
    • "Schmidts Katze" is about the uptight and extremely orderly Werner Schmidt, who is looking
for a nice girl, after the death of his mother. So far, unsuccessful. He fights against his
frustration in his own way: by night as arsonist. Nothing is more soothing than a meticulously
planned car explosion. One night, he unintentionally injures a woman, Sibylle. In an act of
panic, he takes her back to his home. But this was a mistake! He now has a woman staying
with him, though unfortunately a woman he really doesn't want to have around. Sibylle has
no intention of leaving his place. She has reason to hide, chased by Frehse, a small criminal,
and is now looking for a shelter to lay low. Soon, not only Sibylle's life is in danger, but also
Werner's life. The real estate mafia is after them and his pyromaniacal secret threatens to be
exposed. As things around them turn bad, the unequal pair has to get it together, for better or
      worse ...
