    • Synopsis
    • In the wake of Alice’s death, the family unit is thrown into disarray. Ten-year-old Sam has nowhere to turn but believes things will be better if only he can speak to his mum once more. He turns to Skinner, a phoney old psychic with a twisted moral compass who preys on the bereaved, and convinces him to take him to the Angel of the North to make the connection.

With a distracted Dad, reluctant sister and an aggressive loan-shark in pursuit, the unlikely duo travel across the land with hilarious and troubling consequences. Resourceful and vulnerable, they challenge each other and their inner truths until beneath the beacon of hope and the Christmas sky, Sam finds his answer. Not the one he was hoping for, but something that gives him strength, and a family that moves forward together.
