Sacred way is a road movie which starts as a modern day quest to explore the current significance of a spiritual symbol of Ancient Greece only to reveal our own need for spirituality and meaning, as people, in our modern everyday lives.

- Synopsis
- Sacred Way was the famous road connecting Athens to Eleusis. Ancient Greeks walked these 21 Km in body-cleansing, spirit-awakening rituals, as part of an experience honoring the circle of life that was the Eleusinian Mysteries. Plato and Cicero described it so powerful that modern thinkers like Chateaubriand, Faukner and Miller came to walk the Sacred Way looking for this spiritual experience, long after the Mysteries were abolished. Today Sacred Way is a busy highway displaying no signs of this spiritual past. Could it still hold something "sacred" for its current inhabitants? To find out, we take our own pilgrimage along the road today stopping at important landmarks of the ancient route to meet its modern residents and see if and how they relate to the road's ancient mystic identity
