    • Synopsis
    • A group of modern young people: they have no hope for the future, and no idea of what they want to do. ‘The world is full of hope,’ a fired-up new teacher shouts at them. ‘Don’t make fun of people who have dreams.’
      The baseball club at Futakotamagawa High School is under suspension after a fight broke out during one of its games. Betrayed by the teachers, their coach taken away from them, the team members now run up against Mr Kawato, for whom dreams are more important than anything else, and who is ready to risk even his career for the sake of his players, in whom the dream of a national championship still burns.
      The TV drama follows this devoted teacher trying to reform a team of misfit youths, charting their spiritual growth as this uncoordinated group of problem teens claws its way forward.
      The movie finds the 2nd-year players now in their final year, with newcomers joining the team. Overcoming problems with the new players, and an injury to their captain, with the teacher they move into the semifinal tournament that leads to their final chance at a national championship. Will the dreams of the Futakotamagawa baseball team come true? Meanwhile, graduation day draws near.
