    • Ringo Fleisch, a scaffolder from Herne, loses his job and starts working as a temp at the fair. There, showman Fränkie seduces him into pursuing a career as a fairground boxer. For the first time, Ringo leaves his home and goes traveling with the fair. The fairground family changes Ringo's life. Fränkie becomes his mentor, enticing him with the prospect of easy money and star status at the fair. Jenny from the bumper cars shows him the fast life of the fair.
From fight to fight, Ringo dives deeper into the fair family. Große Hainz, a mime, becomes his loyal companion. Through Jenny, from the bumper cars, he gets to know the fast life of the fair, even though he keeps getting into trouble with her brother Mirko.
