- Synopsis
- MURAT ARAKELIAN (27), a brilliant engineering student at the University of Marseille, under the supervision of Professor JEAN PERBOST (56), is designing an innovative AI (Artificial Intelligence) project, ORCHID (ORganizer of CHaotic Input Data) to partake in the palliative AI care competition/exhibition organized by the University. The creative development of Murat’s AI project is interrupted when Murat discovers a letter at his mother's, ARAKSI ARAKELIAN’s (52) house, during dinner, at which his girlfriend, ISABELLE MOREL (23), an anthropology student, and his professor are also present. The letter states that Murat’s mother broke her promise to tell Murat the whole truth about himself and his father. Murat’s entire sense of self is shattered. Araksi denies it, but Murat uses ORCHID to decipher everything possible about the letter, only to learn that what his mother told him about his father’s death was a lie. Unable to find out his mother’s motives for lying, and ignoring his professor’s urges to complete his project, Murat convinces Isabelle to go with him to Armenia/Artsakh to get the answers to his questions, while continuing to develop ORCHID’s deep learning in the process. Their search is full of unanswered questions. When war breaks out unexpectedly, Murat and Isabelle become separated, and Murat faces deadly enemy fire. In these extreme circumstances, ORCHID’s evolution reaches a tipping - point, and its sudden exponential growth achieves empathetic consciousness and ORCHID takes unprecedented action to save and care for Murat and those dear to him.
