- Synopsis
- “Return to Raqqa” chronicles what was one of the most famous kidnapping event in history, when 19 journalists and NGO workers from differents countries were taken captive by the Islamic State, as told by one of its protagonists: Spanish reporter Marc Marginedas, who was also the first captive to be released. Six among them were beheaded in front of a camera. These images were broadcast around the world and became the key to a tragically very effective communication strategy by ISIS.
