    • Synopsis
    • Rita, a Rarámuri woman, fled her community in the Sierra Tarahumara in the eighties. Sometime later she was found in a church in Kansas by the police who, without understanding who she was, what language she was communicating in or where she was originally from, sent her to a psychiatric institution where she spent 12 years of her life. Once she was released, she returned to the Sierra Tarahumara with the after-effects of her medication and confinement. There, her niece now takes care of her, as much as her meager economic means allow her to, and above all, she shows her care and affection. This documentary revolves around the life of these women, as it explores the solidarity and affection us human beings are capable of giving, even in unexpected situations.
