    • Synopsis
    • Luis Vega, a professor of philosophy, is charged with the murder of Luciano, an dentist kidnapped three years ago whose body was found floating in the lake after having been tortured and hanged with his own ties. The main evidence of the crime is the only book that Luis published, called RAPTURE, a cruel and dark philosophical novel that involves a murder taking place in a similar way. For this reason the prosecutor Schulz thinks Luis is guilty and begins to investigate, suspecting that he committed the crime in a fit of jealous rage for his wife, Carla. But how to prove that a crime related in a book has a relation to reality? Is Luis just a narrator or the actor of his own story? Fiction and reality, truth and lies comingle until the book’s narrative and the prosecutor’s investigation can no longer be separated.
In this story, which takes the guise of the crime genre, the important thing is not the crime, but what happens with the characters. The outcome of the investigation and the "clues" in the manner of the classic crime story are not important; only the emotions that the characters are feeling, which are responsible for their involvement in a detective story where the murder could be the failed manifestation of a passion.
The murder in the book: is it just a play on words or a true chronicle of reality? Is the book fiction or documentary? How far would have Luis gone in his eagerness to provoke, or how far out of control are his insanity and his rage?
Also, why did he do it? To do harm? Why did things spin out of his control? Which of all his facets is the true one? What motivates him to do what he does? Is it he jealousy he feels because of his wife CARLA’s relations? Is that jealousy just in his head?
