    • Synopsis
    • Rabbit boy Max lives in a makeshift hole on a traffic island, has a few tolerably cool buddies and one big dream. He wants to become one of the really cool guys. When the leader of the hottest gang in town tells him he could become a member by this year’s Easter, Max immediately starts to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime chance. But Max’ stunt on a model airplane goes horribly wrong, and he crash-lands in a curious place where a group of little rabbits in old-fashioned clothes are staring at him incredulously. Max realizes that he has ended up in Rabbit School – a place where time seems to have stood still and that couldn’t be more different from the big city.
Max’ plane is beyond repair and the forest behind the hedge is ruled by a family of hungry and deceitful foxes who are scheming to steal the Rabbit School’s most precious possession, the magical Golden Egg. They believe that, with the power of the Golden Egg, they can become Easter foxes and be loved by children around the world by delivering slimy worms and fried spiders instead of Easter eggs.
Max’ attempts to get past the foxes fail. He is forced to stay in Rabbit School and to take part in the Easter bunny training program. This program turns out not to be for the weak-of-heart, of-mind and of-hind-legs and has quite a lot of challenges in store for Max. Thanks to Madame Hermione’s strenuous training lessons and bunny girl Emmy’s amicable support, Max gradually becomes more and more agile and skilled. However, he can’t seem to manage the Disappearius – an astonishing skill that allows Easter Bunnies to disappear and re-emerge at the speed of lightning. Every Easter bunny needs this ability in order to fill the children’s Easter baskets without being seen and in order to cross the forest without being caught by the foxes. In fact, the fox family’s attempts to steal the Golden Egg are growing more and more perfidious. They will stop at nothing to reach their goal.
Now, our little hero Max not only has to figure out where he really belongs. Together with the other rabbits, he needs to work up all his wit and courage to stop the foxes from ruining Easter for us all.
