- Synopsis
- You begin your epic Everest Expedition by going on a spectacular 9-day trek up the sacred Khumbu Valley, home to the indigenous Sherpa people, to reach Mt. Everest Base Camp situated at the staggering height of 17,500 feet above sea level. You will then navigate through the "Deadliest Maze on Earth", the Khumbu Icefall, and tiptoe across nerve-racking ladders spanning bottomless crevasses before scaling a steep 5000-foot wall of ice to enter the infamous "Death Zone" at 26,000 feet. As you continue your way to the top of the world you will experience what it is like to traverse an 18-inch-wide knife-edge ridge above 28,000 feet and climb the fabled Hillary Step before taking in the stunning 360-degree views from the roof of planet earth at the daunting height of 29,032 feet.
