    • Synopsis
    • Have you ever wished you could control someone’s mind? Have you imagined ways to make them see or feel something outside of their reality by bringing them into yours, so they could finally see what it is you are trying to show them?

France is nearing a day of reckoning. In the leadup to the 2022 election, the forces of liberalism and conservatism are locked in perpetual gridlock, with political hot topics like immigration and LGBTQIA+ rights serving to only deepen the political divide. Alt-right personalities have invaded the mainstream, threatening to take France down the same road the US took in 2016.

In our obsession with political debate we have forgotten that these are human issues holding in the balance the lives of people who are searching for the same things all humans seek: a chance to live happily, create freely, feel safe, and contribute to building a more successful and inclusive France.

Queer Asylum/Blank Slate is a documentary series that turns political talking points on queerness and immigration into human stories, by connecting these political catch phrases to ideas, expressions, and humanity of queer migrants and 1st generation immigrants with a unique, experience-designed approach. Each episode centers around a particular law, policy, or topic of debate on queerness and/or immigration that will be at the top of the agenda in 2022. But trust us, this isn’t your ordinary political news series.
