    • Synopsis
    • QUEEN OF THE DESERT explores the epic journey and heartbreaking romances of Gertrude Bell, a highly influential explorer, writer, archeologist and attaché for the British Empire, who is credited with helping to catalyze the formation of the Middle East at the dawn of the 20th century. Following World War 1, Bell’s travels across Syria, Asia Minor, Mesopotamia and Arabia, allowed her to establish relationships with tribal leaders across the region and become the only woman with the political power to influence British Imperial policy in the Middle East.
