The film based on Miklós Vámos's novel was the most successful film in 2000. It was shown on RTL Klub. That evening 3.5 million people watched it, making it hte most watched Hungarian film on any commercial television. In August, 2002 it was shown on public television "Hungarian Television Channel 1". Of the videocassettes, 7500 were sold and 1550 were distributed to videotheques. The soundtrack produced sales of over 10,000 within 2 years. The DVD was released by Intercom in 2002
