- Synopsis
- Grub is a young Pakeha (white New Zealander), a surfer who dreams of riding Point Annihilation, the perfect wave. His mentor, Claw, a surfing legend in his day, wiped out at the Point. Claw never surfed again. Now he trains Grub to realise his obsessive quest; to conquer the point. But when Grub encounters Vanessa, a sexy, Maori woman tatooist, Claw's plans go awry. Despite threats from Claw and rumours that Vanessa is Hine Nui Te Po, the Maori Sea Goddess of Death, Grub is drawn deeper into her world of passion, pain, danger and death.
