- Telling the adventures of a strange person seeming to be kind of an artist lost somewhere in between screen and life, “Plastic Jesus” is less funny than a comedy, lacking pathos to be a tragedy, not thrilling enough for a drama, to much story – based for an underground experiment. It is a film on trying to survive staying free. Labeled subversive, it was kept banned for almost 20 years.
