- Synopsis
- High school fencer JIE (17) is shunned by his teammates after his disturbed older BROTHER (24), once a fencing champion, was sent to jail for a monstrous crime. Their widowed MOTHER (45) is determined to bury their family’s traumatic past and hides the truth from her wealthy boyfriend ZHUANG. When mother and son find out Brother will be released, Mother arranges to send him away but Jie goes behind her back to see him. Brother appears regretful for the way he treated Jie as a child, and though doubtful of Brother's sincerity, Jie decides to give him a chance.
  
  Realizing the brothers have reconnected, Mother furiously reacts, jeopardizing Brother’s freedom. The brothers retaliate by threatening to reveal the truth to Zhuang. Just as they all agree to find a compromise, Brother causes another violent fencing “accident”. As the National Championships approach, Jie struggles to determine which version of Brother is the genuine one, only to realize he might never know the truth.
