- Synopsis
- The first 'documentary' film on Sandro Pertini, the President most loved by Italians. Giancarlo De Cataldo - author of the book Il combattente - Come si diventa Pertini (The Fighter - How to Become Pertini) from which the film takes its inspiration - retraces, also as a narrator present on stage, Pertini's life through the stories of illustrious witnesses such as Giorgio Napolitano, Emma Bonino, Gad Lerner, Eugenio Scalfari, Domenico De Masi and Gherardo Colombo, but also of many show business and sports personalities such as Antonello Venditti, Raphael Gualazzi, Ricky Tognazzi and Dino Zoff. An unprecedented mosaic of opinions, stories and anecdotes accompanied by the many songs dedicated to the President by Italian artists of different genres and eras.
  An unconventional portrait in which testimonies are mixed with period repertoire and innovative languages that also capture the attention of the new generations, such as the animated graphic novel, by illustrator Manuelle Mureddu, and the comic strip, with references to the famous avatar of Pertini created by Andrea Pazienza.
