    • Synopsis
    • Generate work where there is not. How could it be achieved? That same question was asked by a Kolla woman in 1994 when the mines closed and the inhabitants of the Argentine Northwest were left without work and had to emigrate to the south. Rosario Quispe decided to form an association of women weavers: the “Warmi Sayasungo or persevering woman”, entrepreneurs who managed to make the impossible a way of survival, creating a self-sustainable financial system based on trust. Throughout 25 years the community project was able to give a future to more than 3000 families of 80 aboriginal communities of the Puna.
