- PERMAFROST is “The Descent” meets “28 Days Later,” a rich story built on finely detailed, unforgettable characters set in a fast-paced horror thriller where every second counts and every move matters. Oil workers GRAYSON, TANNER and DOYLE just want to get through their days maintaining the Alaskan pipeline. Paleontologist DR. JENNA PARKS and Inuit guide ANIK need to extract as many woolly mammoth specimens as possible before winter returns and shuts down their work. Meanwhile environmental activist KILO and his young acolyte CAT have come to disrupt the remote pipeline. But when Tanner inadvertently exposes a man buried in the ice for centuries, his discovery turns into a nightmare that risks life on Earth.
