    • Synopsis
    • PELOTA II is a documentary about the Basque sport of hand pelota. It revolves around the critical relationship between the pelotari (player) and the ball. The films follows the protagonists in their obsessive search to find he best balls for the match. Along the way, it looks at a country in which modern ways have not put paid to existential passions. The entire business structure that has built up behind the sport hangs on one small object, proof that technical rationalism has little place when it comes to the real meaning of life and games, both uncontrollable and unpredictable.
