- Synopsis
- Through the eyes of a new trainee Kumi, Sanpo is the ideal mountain rescue volunteer. Working alongside him and his radiant personality, climbing expertise and genuine passion for his work and mountain, she is glad she has decided to follow her father’s footsteps in the field of mountain rescue.
  But, soon she will come to confront what her father faced in his years of rescuing; the rising number in failed attempts at rescue, blames from the victim’s families, and the overwhelming powerlessness against the mountain and humans. Further Sanpo begins to daunt her in his usual ways which she can hardly relate. Why does he always speak to the dead victims before parting, as if to acknowledge their best effort done? Kumi takes a leave of absence.
  Sanpo patiently awaits Kumi’s return, even if she decides to come back to the snowy mountains, when the mountain rescue team confronts the harshest of realities.
