    • Synopsis
    • After the fall of the Berlin wall, many believed the 21st Century would usher in an amazing era of humanity, of justice, of victorious human rights, of reason! It seemed so evident: peace would finally come and stay for good! It didn’t happen. On the contrary, peace seems more out of reach than ever.

Why? Maybe: we don’t really know what peace is.

This film wants to go on a wide and unbiased search for that undervalued entity called ‘peace’.
It should not resemble any other film experience we know, with a narrative structure of ‘beginning, middle and end’. No! We need to make the cause of peace overwhelmingly obvious. Ideally, we have to let peace speak for itself! But how?!

Like a giant kaleidoscope. As our subject will raise so many questions, open so many new aspects, reveal so many facets, I suggest to abandon any established structure and, instead, create a system of a multitude of short pieces, or ‘chapters’, in a loose - possibly random – order.

All of these chapters, episodes, contributions (whatever you want to call them) will be short in order to never risk becoming didactic or boring. We therefore might also call this film kaleidoscopic.

A hundred short things to be said about peace.

With lots of tiny little scripts for vignettes of thirty seconds to five minutes, we will get involved in all walks of life, with all sorts of people, ordinary and extraordinary, all over this planet, and come up with a multitude of magic moments that all contain surprising aspects of peace, each in a nutshell.
