- Synopsis
- PARADISE is a six-part (6 x15 minutes) urban mythical dramatic web series that puts JOSIAH, a 17-year-old budding filmmaker who is discovering his PSYCHIC abilities, at the centre of an intentional peaceful community called Paradise which is being tested by sectarian gang violence in the troubled neighbourhoods that surround it.
  
  The series starts on the day of the annual 'Peace in the Fields' festival, celebrating the 16th anniversary of the founding of the model social housing community of Paradise. Community leader BROTHER JAY hopes a successful turnout will revive funding and support of the Paradise community, so it doesn’t fall prey to the issues that are destroying the housing communities throughout the suburb of Hillfields.
  
  But Josiah has been having ‘nightmares and one thing becomes eerily clear. Someone is going to die at that festival. As the event draws closer and his nightmares increasingly start to mirror reality, Josiah must grapple with the fact that not only will someone be murdered (if this assailant isn't stopped), but that it is up to him to save them. With time running out, and a heart-wrenching discovery of just how close he is to the murderer, Josiah struggles to prevent what his senses tell him will trigger a devastating gang-war encompassing all of the communities in the area. The series is an intense ride that follows Josiah’s as he slowly comes into his psychic gifts and wages his own battle to circumvent a gang war that threatens to destroy all that he loves.
