- Synopsis
- Severely overweight childhood sweethearts Carmen and Alfredo live in "Paradise Towers," a suburb outside of Mexico City where they share a serene, monotonous suburban life, unaware of the pressures of fitting into a body-conscious society. When Alfredo receives a promotion at work, the two are forced to move to Mexico City and Carmen soon begins to feel the big-city pressure of looking fit. After registering at a local weight-loss center, the pounds begin to come off, but a distance between the couple becomes inevitable and their relationship is put to the test as they become very different people from the outside in.
