- Synopsis
- Paolo Piangino is an unassuming, happy little man, who lives with his cat and likes to cry. For his tears are his great fortune. When he’s sad, his tears comfort him. When he’s happy, his tears make him even happier. One day, the inhabitants of the city are fascinated to watch red flowers grow out of Paolo’s tears. Paulo’s tears make him famous. People are delighted – everyone wants to invite him to their homes, and everyone hopes to obtain a few tears from him.
  But all this attention soon becomes too much for Paolo. Quietly and secretly, he leaves. What he leaves behind are a few flowers and a lot people in the little city crying bitter tears of sadness. Who knows, maybe one day their tears will become true lucky tears?
