    • Synopsis
    • This stunning film tells the story of the Quechua people of Bolivia, with beautiful landscapes and colorful rituals. The Gift of the Pachamama depicts the life of Kunturi, a 13 year old boy whose family works the salt lakes of the Salar de Uyuni. When his grandmother dies and his friend moves away, he decides to embark on a trip with the llama caravan throughout the "ruta de la sal" (the salt route. Along his journey, he meets the girl of his dreams, the beautiful, Ulana. Together they decide to run away across the white sea of the Salar de Uyuni and escape into the sunset. A touching and intimate look at the indigenous people of this far off land.
