- In 2014, when Western Europe was overwhelmed by an unprecedented number of asylum seekers from the Middle East and Africa, the Dutch government established a centre for 1400 asylum seekers in a remote rural village with only 150 inhabitants. The local population protested in vain. What happened after that, no one had ever expected... Fascinated by the dramatic interaction between different cultures, filmmaker Sander Francken followed the developments in the village until the closure of the centre in 2017.
